About the Southeast DBTAC

The DBTAC: Southeast ADA Center (Southeast DBTAC) is one of ten regional resources in the DBTAC National Network of ADA Centers funded since 1991 by NIDRR to provide:

Information, Training, Technical Assistance, & Resources

• To help those with rights and responsibilities under the
  Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) to voluntarily comply.
• Promote use of Information Technology (I T) for access and inclusion by all individuals, and facilitate use of universal design.

Our Services & Programs

The DBTAC: Southeast ADA Center (Southeast DBTAC) offers five core services to promote awareness about the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), accessible information technology (IT), and the rights and abilities of people with disabilities through our Network Structure and Affiliates to serve eight (8) states in the U.S. Southeast Region.

Technical Assistance

Qualified Information Specialists are available to promptly answer inquiries about the ADA and accessible information technology.
All inquiries are strictly confidential.

We recognize and respect the importance of your inquiry and will respond as soon as possible. Information Specialists are available Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET. Inquiries from outside the eight U.S. Southeast states we serve will be directed to the DBTAC: ADA Center that serves your state.

Publications and Materials Dissemination

Together with our State Resource Network and through partnerships with nationally-recognized experts and organizations, we disseminate information and materials that are accurate, reliable, and up-to-date.

Training

Customized workshops, seminars, and presentations are conducted by our Staff or arranged through our State Resource Network. Find various webcourses , audioconferences , and webcasts as well as ready-to-use, educational materials on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accessible technology in the ADA Training Resource Center .

Public Awareness

Together with our State and Local Affiliates and nationally recognized Partners, we sponsor an array of activities designed to increase awareness about the benefits of effective ADA compliance and accessible technology.

Referrals

Through our State Resource Network, referrals are made to State and Local experts for specialized assistance and knowledge of in-state disability resources and programs.

Our Network Structure & Affiliates

The DBTAC: Southeast ADA Center (Southeast DBTAC), one of ten regional resources in the DBTAC National Network of ADA Centers funded since 1991 by NIDRR, is a project of the Burton Blatt Institute - Syracuse University in partnership with the Law, Health Policy, & Disability Center - University of Iowa.

We are located in Atlanta, Georgia and serve as the regional office for an extended leadership network of State and Local Affiliates from eight (8) states in the U.S. Southeast Region:

• Alabama (AL),
• Florida (FL),
• Georgia (GA),
• Kentucky (KY),
• Mississippi (MS),
• North Carolina (NC),
• South Carolina (SC),
• Tennessee (TN).

Collaborating groups and individuals representing disability, business, and government entities dedicated to informing their constituents, people with disabilities, and the public about the ADA and accessible information technology are welcome to become a member of the Southeast ADA Network and join our Email List.
