1. Introduction - Message from the President

Blue Ridge Community College is strongly committed to full access to its programs and services for all qualified individuals. The College encourages academically qualified individuals with disabilities to take full advantage of its educational programs. We believe the College should provide reasonable accommodations to students with disabilities so that they may have physical and educational access to the College and its offerings.

Integrating students with disabilities into campus life requires a continuing effort by Blue Ridge Community College faculty, staff, and administrators. This guide is designed to assist faculty members in teaching students who have disabilities.

Your cooperation and support of students with disabilities are deeply appreciated.

David W. Sink, Jr.
President
